As agreed in the namelist discussion, all parameters assiciated with tidal momentum forcing will be turned off.
According to OM2-0.25deg, GFDL OM4 0.25deg, and GFDL OM5 0.25deg, turbulent mixing generated by breaking internal gravity waves is parameterised for local dissipation at internal tide generation sites (INT_TIDE_DISSIPATION). However, we currently lack external input data for averaged tidal flow amplitudes (tideamp.nc) under /g/data/vk83/experiments/inputs/access-om3. So I will keep these parameters off at this stage.

I agree the parameterised tidal dissipation should be turned on when we have the appropriate input files. We have some from OM2 - maybe they could be used, at least until we have some with proper provenance?
I agree. I’ll merge that PR, and once we have the input files with proper provenance, I’ll submit another PR to address the tidal dissipation parameterizations.
