When configuring a data endpoint like

  await controller.configure(
    dataEndPoint: FileDataEndPoint(
      bufferSize: 500 * 1000,
      zip: true,
      encrypt: false,
    ),
  );

it is not set correctly in the master deployment configuration.

See study_controller.dart line 166.
