Internationalization and localization

We would like a translation system to be in place before release 1.1.0, if
anyone have any ideas howto implement a cross GUI internationalization system.
This is the place to discuss it...

I propose some xml file, because it should be easy to parse it with .Net^^

Yes, that or a .PO file... since that's i18n framework for GTK#; but mayby XML 
or
perhaps .ini would be simpler and easier to implement on both Windows and OS X..

I'd be willing to help with the translation to spanish. I've done some 
translation in
launchpad(username: gsiliceo) and i love this program.

I suggest everyone interested in doing translations subscribe to this issue (do

by starring it).
I'll update this issue with relevant information once a translation system is

Implementing Translation with .NET is easy - but i could'nt manage it to make 
the
GUI-Editor from SharpDevelop working with translations AND separate 
translations from
other resources. Any ideas?

I had same problem... 

Maybe some of the Mono tools could be used for this purpose... GetText# seams 
like an
option, see:

I would like to help with enhancements for the windows xp build. For instance, 
the
play  while or after rip as well as the systray icon and any others that might 
be
