Figure size being ignored #547

I can't really reproduce this behavior. Using your YAML front matter (but omitting the reference to the file Could this be related to something in |
Hi crsh, thank you for looking into this. I'm familiar with out.width but for the (more complex) use case that I'm facing that's not a great solution (I actually have variables as values for fig.width and fig.height the value of which are determined by other parameters in the doc. And out.width wouldn't be a great approximation for what I have in mind (I mean, it's what I'm going to use if this issue can't be fixed but I prefer to figure out the issue with fig.width and height first). Here is the content of header.tex
and here is the apa-6th-edition.csl:

I'm still hoping there is a resolution to this issue. Right now everyone on my team is unable to get fig.width and fig.height to work as intended. Only out.width works but that doesn't allow consistent figure sizing (fontsize etc). |
Describe the bug
Chunk options fig.width and fig.height don't seem to affect the PDF (and are not visible in the .tex file).

Expected behavior
I would expect a 1in by 1in plot. So, about 1/11th of the page height and 1/8th of the page width. But the resulting plot seems much larger, about 1/2 of the page height and more than 1/2 of the page width. Perhaps something is off in the unit conversion?
