I am going through the book and confused by formula 7.4 on page 85.
The formula for the shared key looks like it requires both private random numbers selected by Alice and Bob.
If i understand the color-metaphor, Alice should calculate the shared key using M_b, g, and p. Is that right?

Arg. I went over it again and saw the flaw in my reading. I wasn't substituting M_a for (g ^ (r_a)) in the given formula.
