These are the main game rules.

Each player starts with a Deck of cards. There can be 30-50 cards in a Deck.

The game is played on an NxM Board of alternate colors, like a Chessboard but not limited to just 8x8.

At first, each player draws 3 cards from his deck, plus a King to form his initial hand. He can select any number of cards to discard, which are replaced and the discarded cards are shuffled back into the deck. This follows the London Mulligan system for Mtg.

Then, starting with the White player, each player takes turns in order. A turn consists of playing cards or moving [piece]'s(piece).

A piece can only be moved once each turn. When a piece is placed it is bewildered unless it has charge. Otherwise, Pieces cannot attack or move on the turn they placed onboard.

  • Pieces can be played on the Board by using mana to cast Piece Cards.
  • Spells and items can also be played by spending the mana for each card.
  • The player can pass the turn at any time that his King is not in check.
  • A piece on the board can be moved once per turn, at the cost of 1 mana.

Lose Conditions

  • If at the end of a player's turn, his King is still in Check, then he loses the game.
  • If at the start of a player's turn, he has no more cards to draw from his deck, then he loses the game.
  • When a King is attacked, it loses health. When the King's Health is less than or equal to zero, the player controlling that King loses the game.

Move limitations

  • A King cannot move into Check - either by being placed or by destroying another piece.
    • Note that a King can attack another piece. However, if that attack results in the defending piece being destroyed then the King cannot move into Check by moving to the square of the defending piece.
  • A King cannot be placed on the Board in Check.
  • If a King ends the turn in Check he loses the game.
