Q: Does this work with the Discord Web client?

A: Sadly no - the Discord Game SDK only works with the Desktop application.

Q: Why does Foundry flash "disconnected from server" when I launch the game without the API open?

A: The module, when it can't talk to the Companion API, launches foundryvtt-richpresence://run, which (if you've run the API at least once), is registered as a custom scheme on your PC that launches the API. This launch, however, briefly disconnects Foundry from the server. It'll only do this once so long as the API is running. If you have issues with this feature, disable the Should the module attempt to launch the Companion API if it's not running? option in Module Settings.

Q: My GM has set this up on his server, but I'm not interested / can't run the Companion API. How can I disable this for my User?

A: Disable the Enabled for this client option in Module Settings

Q: Can I voice chat with someone using just the Discord desktop app?

A: Sadly, no - the Discord desktop app uses a different voice network than the GameSDK does. You can only talk with other users who are also using this module

Q: Does this support cross-talking with the built-in Foundry A/V?

A: Currently no - this module provides voice-only via the Discord GameSDK network. You'll want to align on either / or with your group.
