I wanted to try out your extension since a timer for YouTrack may come in handy, but I encountered an error when I tried to set it up:

Permission denied. Please allow the extension to access YouTrack.

While inspecting the popup, I got the following error message:

Unchecked runtime.lastError: Only permissions specified in the manifest may be requested.

Declaring optional permissions should do the trick.
