What I'm doing to reproduce on CentOS 5:

  1. remove any existing agent from the box
  2. install 1.9.12
  3. make sure 1.9.12 is running
  4. yum update to install 2.2.15

Warning comes from https://github.com/DataDog/dd-agent/blob/dogstream_tailer/redhat/datadog-agent#L79, called by rpm_preuninstall which tries to stop the running agent.

yum remove silently failed, which made reproducing impossible.
