This is jedi issues.
I think your issues should be in jedi-vim issues.

Note: I didn't searched pysmell#complete in jedi-vim. I think pysmell conflicts with jedi-vim.

It's a jedi-vim issue. But however, have you tried to uninstall pysmell? I don't think this is a jedi bug. Probably you still have some pysmell settings somewhere. Try to eliminate them!
