[BUG] `exo run` stop-on-exit behavior fights with GUI #308

To Reproduce

use `exo run
launch the gui
click to stop a process
you'll see a flash of an "internal server error"

brandonbloom added the bug label

brandonbloom added the overhaul label

brandonbloom added this to the Overhaul milestone

brandonbloom removed the overhaul label
