Thanks for reaching out and your interest in deviceplane. I have good news on this front. While the project has been inactive for some time, a new team at Edgeworx is going to be adopting and breathing life back into it. We will also be managing the process of contributing the project to one of the large Open Source foundations in 2H of this year.
In the meantime, deviceplane has been integrated as a key component of the Darcy Cloud (cloud.darcy.ai). If you want a hosted tool that exposes the deviceplane functionality, I can suggest trying that out. It's free to use.
We are also very happy to accept PRs! In this case, yes all the docker related functionality will be removed as this is all included in a partner project called Eclipse ioFog (www.iofog.org).
Just a follow up to the issue from the old repo: deviceplane/deviceplane#78
Is there anything we can help you with to get it moving?
Should we create a PR for removing interaction with the docker daemon?
