It only closes when pressed ctrl+q or Quit button.

Also, I have made a snap for your app, will you like to have it?

That's the expected behavior, it needs to be running in background to send notifications.

Thank you, but I only intend to maintain the flatpak version.

Thanks.
Just one last question. Can you explain me, how does the autostart work. I am not able to make it work.

Did you turn it on in the preferences?
And are you're sure it's not working? Because the app starts hidden at startup.

If you run GNOME 44+ you'll see the app listed in the background apps menu.

As for how it works, it uses the background portal. It creates a .desktop file in the autostart folder with the option --startup.

Can you tell me, which folder it is?

For snaps, the background apps option isn't available. It's flatpak specific.

I turned it on and logged out and logged in. Still I can't see the app running in the system monitor.

Should be ~/.config/autostart
Not sure if the autostart folder various between system and user installation

Can you make the code more verbose, or print some error log, if the autostart was not able to set. or if xdp not working?
