The server I am working on requires that all file writes are performed using sudo, for safety purposes. Is it possible to configure this plugin to use sudo writes?

I found this explanation how to do sudo writes in combination with ssh and rsync
https://crashingdaily.wordpress.com/2007/06/29/rsync-and-sudo-over-ssh/
but could not make this work with the plugin since only simple rsync flags are supported.
