Not yet.

Thanks man.

Another question, does it come with its own taskbar?

It doesn't, and master doesn't even support external bars yet. If you apply #49 you can use an external bar but like waybar, but it still wouldn't show you tags and clients, only compositor-indipendent modules like backlight and battery, until dwl support is added to waybar (if ever).
Either way I don't recommend using dwl as a daily driver without at least applying #49 since you wouldn't have basic things like wallpapers and notifications. It hasn't been merged yet because there has been no activity from the maintainer for the past 2 months.

Oh wow that sucks, hopefully more can be contributed.

I believe an IRC channel would suit the needs of this project. Since it is an open-source project, freenode would be a good place for that. Sadly, the #dwl channel is already registered, although I don't know if it is still in use since there is noone in it…

I just found out you can register as a group in freenode and claim a channel. Not seeing myself in a position to represent dwl, I won't do that, but it would be great if someone could.

#dwl doesn't seem already registered to me. https://netsplit.de/channels/?net=freenode&chat=%23dwl it doesn't appear here and when I join it I see the same message as any non-existing channel: "Channel created on " $current_datetime.

I will hang around there.

If we use IRC then the room will be available from any https://matrix.org client, which is neat.

Also I believe it doesn't mind who creates the channel, because just having one may be a significant step in development.

On the other hand, it would be ideally if the owner (@djpohly) contacts freenode team or instead agree with us for such purpose.

We should take advantage of the fact that #DWL is not yet registered.

Since this is a FOSS project and Discord it isn't at all, I took the dare to create a room in the official Matrix identity server.

https://matrix.to/#/#dwl:matrix.org

In addition to being a federated network, there is a plenty of clients to use it (e.g. classic weechat TUI).

Anyone within the project core feel free to claim its ownership to me.

My limited knowledge of matrix tells me you can connect a matrix room to an IRC channel. Would you mind doing that with #dwl on freenode so we don't have two different chats?

We are there now. Anyone can join from any Freenode/Matrix client to the freenode #DWL channel!

Glad to have IRC, and we now have Discord as well! See the main repo page for the invite link!
