I can't comment on the rumors, but there's no reason crouton wouldn't work with any ARM or Intel processor, since they all implement standard instruction sets. The real question would be if there is GPU acceleration, but we've never had that on ARM anyway so in this instance it'd be moot.
Thanx for the reply @dnschneid, it's good to know that crouton should work on it. 👍
The graphics should be amazing, supposedly it's got 192 'CUDA' cores! Also it's supposed to have record performance and battery life - can't wait. :-)
There's a new Nvidia Tegra K1-Powered Acer Chromebook CB5 on the horizon, sporting a 13.3" Display, 4GB RAM, and 32GB SSD.
Question is: Will this new quad-core ARM-based chip run crouton, similar to the existing Samsung ARM Chromebooks?
The specs on this thing are quite impressive I think, maybe there'll finally be an ARM Chromebook that'll give the Intel's a good run for their money.
( What'd be even more interesting is if they made it a dual-boot Android/Chromebook :-)
Below are links to some articles on this new Chromebook:
