Помню. Статья написана давно, когда у нас ещё не было понимания, какие именно браузеры мы поддерживаем.
(Я, если честно, и сейчас не очень понимаю. Вот кто-то новую статью будет писать, на какие браузеры ориентироваться? у нас где-то это закреплено?
Это бы в документации описать как-нибудь 🤔)

Не очень понятно, для чего он был указан, вроде как проблем с его поддержкой уже давно нет.
