Performance measure for this code

Thanks for the code, very insightful. Just wondering if you have the performance score for this dataset? I am getting a accuracy of 51%, which is slightly better than random, with the default configuration. I am wondering if I should search (random search) for the optimal parameters, or this is the optimal performance?
