Description

I created a .NET MAUI application for Android and now I'm planning to test it on an iPhone. I deployed the solution to a Mac and opened Visual Studio for Mac. I installed the .NET 8 SDK from the official site and installed the necessary workloads. However, Visual Studio is showing the following message: 'The project requires the installation of .NET workloads: maui-tizen.' I have already installed the MAUI workload, which was supposed to download all platform workloads, and I also installed maui-tizen in an attempt to fix this issue, but with no success. The version of Visual Studio for Mac is 17.6.7

Thanks for the issue report @ThiagoFrancischini! This issue appears to be a problem with Visual Studio, so we ask that you use the VS feedback tool to report the issue. That way it will get to the routed to the team that owns this experience in VS.

If you encounter a problem with Visual Studio, we want to know about it so that we can diagnose and fix it. By using the Report a Problem tool, you can collect detailed information about the problem, and send it to Microsoft with just a few button clicks.

  1. Go to the Visual Studio for Windows feedback tool or Visual Studio for Mac feedback tool to report the issue
  2. Close this bug, and consider adding a link to the VS Feedback issue so that others can follow its activity there.

After numerous attempts, doing this worked for me
Visual Studio -> Preferences -> Others (towards the Bottom) -> Preview Features -> Check Use .NET 8 SDK if installed worked.**

Even though the version of .net8 I installed was not a preview version, I still needed to check that option.
