zxcvbn("asdf@dd.at", "asdf@dd.at") has an entrophy of 24.015, even though it should be somewhere around 1.

Somehow zxcvbn does not recognize full matches of user_input.

have you tried... zxcvbm("asdf@dd.net", ["asdf@dd.net"]) per the documentation?
