While trying to debug the recent peon issues, I ran into problems getting the IRC firehose factory to shut down cleanly at ALL much less with the modified peon functionality.
With this change, the IRC Firehose factory shuts down correctly for the wikipedia examples when run through a middlemanager and overlord on the same local box (single machine "cluster")
