Not sure if this will be added in the future or not, as a temporary solution, you could use AntiMicroX (https://github.com/AntiMicroX/antimicrox/) to map controller buttons to keyboard shortcut. |
how would that help? I want to open a pie menu with a Xbox controller button, the only one which would work is the share button of the S/X or the Xbox button, and then maneuver through the pie menu with the analog or digital stick and execute a command when you press a xbox button inside the pie menu. The xbox controller buttons cant be changed because obviously they need to function as normal xbox controller buttons in the game where I want to open the pie menu from. For example I want it function like this: I am inside a game, you press the xbox or share button, a pie menu opens, you can maneuver through the pie menu with Xbox analog/digital pad, click A on a pie menu entry, and for example execute F9 to show MSI Afterburner overlay, or execute alt+f9 to toggle Nvidia shadowplay recording on/off. |
ahh, I see. If you're talking about opening a pie menu in-game, that's not the solution. Unfortunately you might have to wait until XInput support is added. |
have you tried hotkey names like |
i just tested it and it works for me with my controller those keynames arent available inside the menu builder app. but i edited the AHPSettings.json file directly and changed the pie trigger hotkey to the AutoHotPie builder won't open anymore, circle just spins endlessly, it probably doesnt like that keyname for some reason. so you need to either 1. export the standalone menu first before editing the json, and then edit the json in the standalone folder or 2. just keep the builder closed, and run the menu directly from the |
So you can use Xbox controller to bind for example pie menu to share button and then maneuver with xbox keys through it.
