What new or enhanced feature are you proposing?

Allow messages logged by munged to be forwarded to syslog, and/or support specifying the minimum priority level for messages to be logged.

What goal would this enhancement help you achieve?

Syslog support would allow for logs to be forwarded to a centralized server. Specification of a minimum priority level would allow informational messages to be suppressed if so desired.

Please provide any additional information below.

Request from Graham Van Heule at LANL on 2012-03-27:

We're wondering if there is an option to reduce the logging level of munge or
have it send to syslog so that we can forward the logs to a diskful systems.
