There is no country-level resolution for case & death counts pulled by Epidatr. Unless I am mistaken, the covidcast() function only supports state, county, Metropolitan statistical area (msa), Hospital referral region (hrr), and Designated Market Area (dma). Of course, it is possible to get country-level data by taking the sum over all records on a given day; however, it would be good if a less cumbersome option existed.
In addition, epidatr does not yet support a 7-day smoothed metric for cases and deaths. These features are present in the covidcast package (e.g. confirmed_7dav_incidence_num).

I believe this issue was meant for the CMU-Delphi epidatr package. Sorry I didn't reply sooner. I'll archive the repo to prevent further such confusion.
