We keep developing REST Commander and adding new features.

We will plan to release some features soon in this open source version.

  1. Added SSH worker besides of HTTP worker, so that you can run a script to all end nodes (like pssh/cssh) 1000 nodes in 40 seconds with throttling.
  2. Integrated with Open Stack Swift as the storage to enable HA.
  3. WIP: Done POC to enable Clustering for distributing tasks to multiple instances of REST Commander. (Akka Clustering with remote). Added the jobs fail over and active master fail over. Added progress tracking in front end.
  4. Refinement: add the log worker ; make them in separate thread for writing logs with log worker.
  5. Added separate thread to load the conf during start up.
  6. Many other changes and improvements...
  7. 1 click deployment of REST Commander with Cronus Agent to a list of machines.
