Actual we host the Services used in Unit-Test on an external Server with URL https://mylyn.org.

Here the Answer from Sam Davis

Hi Frank,

As I posted during the summer, we are retiring [mylyn.org]>(http://mylyn.org/). If there's any data on the server that you want, please back it up.

What are your plans for the future of this Domain?
Are you asking about the mylyn.org domain name? I am not sure if Tasktop (now Planview) has any plans for it. If the Mylyn project is interested in acquiring the domain name, let me know and I can find out if this is possible.

Who can we ask if there is a way to host the services on the Eclipse infrastructure?

If we can not host the Mylyn Test Services on Eclipse Infrastructure is see the following options:

  1. place the services on a subdomain of an existing domain
Maybe I can try to use my domain and configure things to access my private local services
  2. acquiring the domain name mylyn.org
Then we need to answer the questions.
    a. where can we host this service?
    b. what are the costs and how we can get the needed money?
    c. Who will be allowed to maintain the host?

Thoughts?

I think we can ask the webmasters to help out here.

Does this service need to run 24/7, or can we just start up a node on request?

No we need the service only for the unit tests of org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks, org.eclipse.mylyn.builds and org.eclipse.mylyn.reviews.

Sometimes I need access for checking details for failing tests.

For org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks I have ever thing automated so I do not need admin/maintain access.
Hope that the same is true for the other both service kinds.
