Choosing an existing tag from the auto-complete list when creating an annotation will still cause creating and saving yet another (second, third etc.) taxonomy term for it. It is considered as new.
This must've been introduced in one of the last commits, I did not observe this issue before. Maybe it came in with the code to only list own tags in the auto-completion list?
