Knives are an essential part of BetterBeginnings; they are used for many of the early game crafting recipes. They are also able to collect tall grass, ferns, and dead bushes.

##Functionality When used to break vines, grass, ferns, dead bushes, etc., there is a chance that it will drop the corresponding block. They are also the only way to get sticks early game. There are a wide variety of them, ranging from flint, all the way to diamond.

##Flint Knife The flint knife is the first knife you will make, and it's crafted out of two flint in a diagonal pattern.

##Bone Knife The bone knife is the second-tier knife, on par with stone tools (but not the bone pickaxe). It is crafted with a bone diagonally below a bone shard.

##Iron and Gold Knives These knives last just as long as their pickaxe, shovel, and axe counterparts. They are crafted in advanced crafting like so:

##Diamond Knife This is the top-tier knife in BetterBeginnings, on par with diamond tools. As a diamond tool, it also requires redstone and blaze powder:
