Download Error

When I use Applicationize to create my own crx Chrome will not allow me to download the crx file from Applicationize's website. It says "package is invalid crx_required_proof_missing". It gives me the usual warning about downloading crx files but when I hit "Keep" to download it anyway I get that error. The crx file shows up in the downloads section of the chrome browser but it does not actually download to the device. If you refresh the downloads page in the Chrome browser it has a strike through on the downloaded file as if it was deleted.

I am attempting to do this on a Chromebook using ChromeOS 107. I have been using Applicationize for some time and I really do like it. I hope this can get fixed.

Elad, I'm sorry I guess that I wasn't clear. I get the error I mentioned when I actually attempting to download the created CRX file from Applicationize's website. So I can't work with that solution because the CRX file does not actually download in the first place so there is no CRX file to drag into chrome://extensions. So this isn't an installation failure, it is a download failure. I managed to work around it by using Firefox on a different computer. Creating the CRX files I needed and manually transferring them to my Chromebook. Once they were transferred I was able to install them by dragging them from the files app to chrome://extensions without issue. So whatever the issue is it would seem that it is Chromebook specific although I have not tried it in any other Chromium based browser such as Edge so it might be an issue there as well.

Thanks for clarifying. Just to double-check, did you toggle Developer Mode on in chrome://extensions? In any case, glad you found a workaround.
