I can't reproduce this neither locally nor on Cloud. It looks like the test failure is due to an exception in Discover and the only place where it could happen is the test setup itself. Will keep investigating.

This test ran 150 times in a flaky spec runner and no failures: https://buildkite.com/elastic/kibana-flaky-test-suite-runner/builds/184#9920db7d-57ff-4a33-ae66-343179169998

I am very confused as to the root cause of this.

closing this for now there was just one test failure in the last 3 months on a internal windows build, so it's not flaky
