As @FrankHassanabad suggested in #90661 :

Once the user does figure out how to add data through auditbeat, packetbeat, etc... Shouldn't we now poke the user to let them know that there is new data and the correct workflow is to select the new data sources under data sources?

Describe a specific use case for the feature:

  • The user has new data in indices that are not selected in the data source selector.
  • A notification appears suggesting to select the index pattern with new data in the source selector.
