Is this still relevant? If so, what is blocking it? Is there anything you can do to help move it forward? This issue has been automatically marked as stale because it has not had recent activity. It will be closed if no further activity occurs. |

Yes, still no MSIX support... |

I'd love to review a PR of msix support being added to electron-builder! 😉 |

@Stale bot, I hate you. |
In before stale bot asks again... YES! |
Hey folks, just commenting about the stale bot won't actually get things done. I'd encourage working together on a solution, even if that be as minimal as discussing implementation details in this ticket. |

Well, this issue becomes a fight with the stale bot... Does anyone know when Microsoft would stop supporting the old APPX format? I think this issue is not critical until that happens. Btw, I bet most of you already know it, that you can easily create a MSIX using the MSIX Packaging Tool. |
Yes |
If anyone is willing to give it a shot, I'm happy to review the PR. I'm not familiar with msix or know what dependencies are needed for getting it up. Happy to provide direction with writing a new Target configuration though |
It seems like Microsoft is pushing MSIX much harder now with the release of the windows package manager and MSIX being open source since release (https://github.com/Microsoft/msix-packaging).
Is it likely that the current support for AppX will be upgraded to MSIX?
