ability to stop Riot/Desktop from trying to autoupdate whenever it's closed #717

So to confirm: at the moment, whenever you close the app, it tries to update? OOI does this hold up the shut down? Have we recreated the Microsoft Windows Update Experience?

Does it try and update on any other schedule? If we let users disable the update on close, will this lead to people's Riots getting stale?

I think its more that if Squirrel has downloaded an update, it will use it next time you start the app, so no delays on shutdown etc
