I had trouble using Peastash.watch(event) with an event containing a dot.
Peastash.watch(event)
The event will be processed by peastash and visible in the peastash output but logstash/filebeat won't inject the event into elasticsearch.
It may be usefull to add a warning here saying that if the event contains a dot, it is highly suggested to specify the event_group option
