I get this error message by taking a screenshot with grim on sway(wlroots) using 10bit color.

In the meantime I have switched to grim-git on Arch Linux.

To be clear, the value 808665688 corresponds to the xbgr2101010 pixel format; sway with the render_bit_depth 10 setting on an output may provide screenshot data in this format. grim supports the format since af000f9, but there hasn't been a release since then. One will probably be coming soon; I've already asked about it on IRC.
