Hi, I'm Emir Ceyani, an aspiring machine learning researcher and a PhD student from Los Angeles, CA 🇺🇸.

I am a Ph.D. student interested in deep learning , machine learning theory, federated learning, and Bayesian neural networks under the leadership of Prof. Salman Avestimehr at University of Southern California(USC). I also am an active contributor to FedML library. During my M.Sc. at Bilkent University, I was a research engineer at Turkcell Technologies, Istanbul,🇹🇷.

My main expertise has revolved around :

  1. Federated learning
  2. Graph neural networks
  3. Bayesian deep learning
  4. Probabilistic deep generative models(VAE, NF,...) & variational inference methods
  5. Spatio-temporal forecasting with deep learning
  • 👨🏽‍💻 I’m currently working on my PhD on federated machine/deep learning ;
  • 🌱 I’m currently learning meta learning, Bayesian non-parametrics, neural architecture search, and personalisation algortihms;
  • 👯 I’m looking to collaborate on research ideas 🤝 and I am always looking for research internships;
