bb is already used for busybox and is likely to cause confusion when someone/something needs actual busybox to run. I haven't installed this and I accidentally found out that bb is used for busybox (forgetting I didn't install, just built it).

I can't think of a solution other than changing the name of the output executable. This is a great program and I'd very much like it to be my htop replacement.

Thank you very much for your kind words!

Can you provide an example of a bb binary? Because I can't find any other than an alias bb=/bin/busybox. Debian for example packages it as /bin/busybox.

My distro is sabayon (gentoo derivative) - which uses /bin/bb and /bin/busybox. They do seem to have diffferences. They are not the same, however. This is also true for gentoo.

Seems like a sym link to /bin/busybox.. Gentoo renames the bb demo to bb-aalib: https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/app-misc/bb. You could rename it to something like bbtop?

Makes sense. I'll rename the output build. At least for me (in sabayon), bb is not a symlink, they are actually different binaries (checked using bindiff). They seem to have a different origin/purpose, and behave slightly differently.
