Desired Behavior / Functionality

If the refractive index can descirbe the same as the complex norm, this has more of a physical interpretation

What Needs to Be Done

My initial though is that it makes no sense to combine the real and imaginary permittivity into one metric. Either these should be plotted individually, or converted back to n and k (refractive index and absorption coefficient), which are two kind of separate properties of the material
