License? #26
Comments
Ah, at the end of the README I notice that you again state its GPLv3, but commercial licenses are also available. Please confirm for clarity. |
Sorry about the confusion. I was confused about what to do myself when I first open sourced the project as it originally was done for a client. So I had hopes of licensing it to others who wanted to use it commercially. I am considering now to replace the license with a MIT license. Let me know if you have any thoughts on this. What are you planning to use Balder for? |
Sure, that makes sense. Dual-licensing is fairly commonplace and I have nothing against it, though I make it a practice to confirm licensing before copying or using code. I am thinking about adding a projects section to a site I run dedicated to cars: http://www.neocarz.com/ where people can upload pictures of cars they are working on. I used to be really into working on cars before I got into computers. :-) |
Balder is now using the MIT License. 8038841 |
Hello,
I'm interested in using balder, but I'm concerned about the license. I read that it was GPLv3, but then I just noticed the README says "Free for personal use. Contact me for commercial use."
Which one is it?
