I assume https://developers.arcgis.com uses the Calcite theme. For those of us who spend a lot of time on docs, being able to access the dark mode theme would make our poor eyes so much happier.

Thanks!

Yes, we have a dark mode. It's up to that team whether they use it or not, though.

@oknoway ☝️ here's an idea for you!

Closing and leaving it up the the developers.arcgis.com team whether they want to do this.

@schontz Great idea! We've talked about supporting @media (prefers-color-scheme: dark) on developers.arcgis.com. However, most of the doc page styles are controlled by the individual doc teams, so that would be a much bigger endeavor.

We're starting to plan our roadmap for the next year, so I'll definitely bring this up to the team.

prefers-color-scheme is only available on a Mac and we don't use those at work. Some explicit option would be nice, if possible.

I frequent the JavaScript API docs, so +1 for that part of the site. Even if it's a hidden feature because of the work involved to get everything to look nice, I can open up DevTools and useDarkMode(true), or similar, if it comes down to it.
