Since all empty accounts are gone outside of the test suite I think we should stop writing tests about them. I've thrown together a hackmd with a proposal to do that.

Hopefully we can resolve the 0xff..fe issue (and similar future issues) that way.

General updates from the testing team we wanted to share in the meeting:

• Execution Spec Tests
  • 1153 tests merged to main: EIP-1153 Transient Storage Tests execution-spec-tests#230, tests: add more transient storage/eip-1153 tests execution-spec-tests#292, tests/cancun/eip_1153: Remove conftest '+1153' in network field. execution-spec-tests#299
  • 4788 PR to update to latest version: tests/cancun/eip_4788: Update predeploy address(0xbEAC02..7d7a), add additional tests execution-spec-tests#297
    • The deploy tx is missing from the latest EIP PR, we are only waiting on this to merge and release
  • EIP-7516 tests: tests/4844: Add EIP-7516, BLOBBASEFEE, verification to excess blob gas tests execution-spec-tests#294
    • will be merged soon and included in next release
• Hive
  • Geth London non-zero-block-number issue test case: simulators/ethereum/engine: Add London non-zero-number test hive#867
  • Mock builder is Deneb-ready: https://github.com/marioevz/mock-builder/releases/tag/v1.1.0
  • Builder tests can be run using: simulators/eth2/dencun: Dencun Interop Simulator and Builder Tests hive#838
