For the sake of performance, since the old JSON library can be rather slow in some situations.

I don't really have bandwidth for it right now, is this something you feel comfortable doing?

Maybe some day I might make a pull request, but can't guarantee for now. I don't have a PC for a longer time and I don't like writing code that may not work as expected :|

in my fork i have changed it for ahk h
it will also allow to escape unicode charecters there by allowing emojis to be saved
