Kohana 3 Asset Helper

Adds two new capabilities to Jonathan Geiger's original assets helper, namely:

• media config option to specify the corresponding attribute for the <link> tag for stylesheets
• cache_bust = 'filename' option to include the cache-busting timestamp within the filename instead of appended as a querystring parameter

media attribute support

Including a compressed print stylesheet:

Filename rewrite ssupport

Including 'cache_bust' => 'filename', in your config will result in:

<script type="text/javascript" src="javascripts/cache/javascript-min.1274087975.js"></script>

<link type="text/css" href="stylesheets/cache/stylesheet-min.1274087975.css" rel="stylesheet" />

Instead of:

<script type="text/javascript" src="javascripts/cache/javascript-min.js?1274087975"></script>

<link type="text/css" href="stylesheets/cache/stylesheet-min.css?1274087975" rel="stylesheet" />

Note

Since this option creates virtual URIs that do not map to physical files on disk, you will need to use a rewrite rule to perform the mapping. The example below demonstrates how to do this if you're on Apache:
