Well we used to have lua scripting system...but during the years I can hardly see any such plugins developed by 3rd parties.

So maybe we chose a wrong scripting language? What about python/ruby or even rust bindings?

rust is not even a script language, why would you bother that... again, use fcitx-dev@googlegroups.com for such topic.

because it is fresh and may attract more love for us...really I need a ruby binding to play around fcitx...eg I can integrate it into YaST.

@marguerite I believe fcitx talks with dbus and you can use rust to talk with dbus. If you're keen on using rust itself.

@marguerite I do have some Lua plugins I rely on.

We already have one lua binding fcitx/fcitx5-lua so it can be supported. Close this for now.
