Interesting idea. Apparently an rss feed is exposed for hashtags (for example |
The biggest problem I'm seeing is that it's RSS and not Atom, so the semantics are a bit different. I'll take a look and see how much effort this would be. |
It would be a very nice option. How are the differences between the Atom and the RSS? |
I am working on it here: https://github.com/foss-wales/mastofeed |
A problem I still have is that I do not load the next page. |

I would need some guidance to how you @fenwick67 see the merge of that. 1st. I release it under AGPL, second, I add much more than what just solves the issue. What do you think? |
This is exactly what we would need for our Hackergarten and Java User Group website. @fenwick67, it looks like there wasn't much going on in the last months or years. Don't feel like doing this project anymore or just don't have the time? |
It's mostly a time thing but also a motivation thing - it's not like I get paid to add features to this or anything, and the more features I add the more technical debt I incur. It seems interest has grown and given the big wave of twitter users moving over I will keep this in mind. |
#38 creates the start of it. What is missing is the endless scrolling - I did not know and had no time to do that. Also, my version is deployed but on Heroku. This deployment shuts down at Nov. 28th. It would be nice, e.g. to have it merged and then people add more fixes later because they have a gain from it. I would be alright for reviewing and helping a little. |
This would be a really interesting feature, whether for hashtags or for a.gup.pe groups. For example, i tried to embed https://a.gup.pe/u/academicchatter (technically a mastodon profile, as seen here https://mapstodon.space/@academicchatter@a.gup.pe, though it's a special 'group' profile), and it failed:
|
Could you extend this to make an embeddable feed for a hashtag?
Twitter recently took away this ability. I had embedded the #KDE tag in Planet KDE from Twitter and I'm struggling to find a suitable replacement.
