Bug Report

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Use Chrome
  2. When in the Set-Up Workspace dialog, select the View icon, without creating a workspace
  3. Chrome will then open a new Legend tab, instead of getting to the model from the current tab

Expected Result:

The behavior should be the same as when editing a workspace: Legend should access the model from the current Chrome tab.

Actual Result:

When viewing the model, an additional Chrome tab is created by Legend.
This is not a big deal, but wanted to point this out as an inappropriate behavior.

Environment:

legend-studio: 6.6.0
legend-sdlc-server: 0.83.1
legend-engine-server: 3.9.2

Additional Context:

N/A

@pierrelamy The main purpose of the setup screen is to prepare the workspace to be worked on, hence that's the main action. View Project is just a side action hence it opens in a new tab. This behavior is in fact consistent with the rest of the app, e.g. while working on your workspace, you can right-click an element and say I want to view this element, we will open the view project mode as well, in a new tab

If you still believe the behavior is inappropriate, feel free to create a feature/enhancement request, but I will close this out as this is not a bug and we will mark this as wont fix
