Name of family

In GEDCOM there is INDI:NAME but no FAM:NAME. Should a FAM:NAME be introduced?

In the German name law, there is the name of a family defined ("Ehename", see https://www.gesetze-im-internet.de/bgb/__1355.html). This name is used for example for the surname of the children in this family.

For example: Georg Maier marries Maria Schulze. They decide (during the marriage event), that "Schulze" is the name of the family. The husband decides to use the name "Georg Maier-Schulze" from that time on, his wife uses still "Maria Schulze" and their children will get the surname "Schulze".
