On the stock version of Ångström (Angstrom-Cloud9-IDE-GNOME-eglibc-ipk-v2012.12-beaglebone-2013.08.21.img.xz) several packages need to be installed before lcd can be installed using npm/node-gyp

$ opkg update
$ opkg install python-compiler
$ opkg install python-misc
$ opkg install python-multiprocessing
