Damaged Database after update - possible photo recovery ?

I opened an issue titled "Database error after upgrade -- App crashing while it is starting -- Unhandled Promise Rejection #563"
where i got the info that apparently somehow my database file was (unrecoverably) damaged.

Is there any trick to access the photos? Like installing Signal to an other machine and copy paste some folders or so .. ?

I have Signal on my phone, yes, but i changed the phone since i have the desktop app, so all the chats and photos were on the pc. I did not thought that something like this could happen ( : ... I tried to go back to older versions as well, but it doesn't helped. I just got more errors than before or the same one ( : ...
