nothing works, even no status led

steps to reproduce

disconnect battery
press power-on button
observe problem

It seems like nothing works

H1: without a battery ogre might not have any power at all

suggestions

T1-1: try to reproduce with battery connected but one without charge

workaround

Ensure a battery is always connected.

Oh, and BTW: this is only a test ticket ;-)
